Octopus Fluids Sheening Fountain Pen Inks
The fountain pen inks in this collection are water-based dye-based inks. The special feature of these inks is the so-called sheen effect, which makes the writing shine in a colour different from the base colour. This is made possible by a very high dye content.
The paper used has a big influence on the sheen effect, as does the writing instrument. It is important that the paper does not absorb too much of the ink. On ordinary copy paper, the ink will usually only appear monochrome, in the intense shade of the base colour. We therefore recommend that you always use good quality, smooth writing paper.
